BARBARA HIRSCH
SCHREIER, 81, of Ann
Arbor, died March 27,
2016.
She was a graduate of
Cleveland Heights High
School and Ohio State
University. Barbara taught
Schreier
English as a second lan-
guage for decades, the last
15 years at Jewish Family
Services of Washtenaw County, positively
influencing the lives of hundreds of immi-
grants to the U.S.
She was also active in many organizations,
including AAUW and the Jewish Cultural
Society.
Mrs. Schreier is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Eric and Jaki Schreier of

Indiana, Jordan and Shelly Schreier of Ann
Arbor and Barry Schreier and his husband,
Thomas Birkenholz of Iowa; grandchil-
dren, Abraham Schreier, Mallory Schreier,
Brooklyn Schreier, Alayna Schreier, Rebecca
Schreier and Haley Schreier.
She was the friend of her former husband,
the late Leonard Schreier, M.D.; the devoted
daughter of the late Robert and the late Sara
Hirsch.
Interment was at Arborcrest Cemetery.

Leslie (Chip) Davis; nephew, Steven (Beth
Jerin) Zatkoff; other loving family mem-
bers and friends.
Mrs. Schwartz was the beloved wife of
the late Donald Schwartz; the mother of
the late Randall Schwartz; the sister of the
late Allen Zatkoff.
Interment was held at the Clover
Hill Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
