CLAUDE RINGER, 94, of Haslett, Mich.,
formerly of Champaign, Ill., died Jan. 9,
2016.
Mrs. Ringer is survived by her daughters,
Miriam Adam and Deborah Elissadeh;
grandchildren, Abigail, Yoav and Avishai.
She is also survived by Adriana Espinosa and
her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Alexander Ringer.
Interment was in Israel. Contributions

NANCY ROSS, 73, of
Palm Beach Fla., formerly
of Detroit, died Jan. 7,
2016, after a long and
courageous battle with
cancer.
She was a strong
woman and had a posi-

reflected in her profes-
sional life as well as her personal life. She was
the regional director of admissions for the
University of Medicine and Health Sciences,
St. Kitts, and helped many students achieve

their dreams of becoming physicians.
Mrs. Ross is survived by her daughter,
Melanie Weiner; son Howard Weiner; sis-
ters and brother-in-law, Carole and Richard
Walker, Andrea Craig; brothers and sisters-
in-law, Warren and Wendy Ross, Bryan and
Katie Ross; stepmother, Anne Ross; Anne’s
children, Marlene (Lenny) Hummel, Janis
(David) Adler; aunt, Delores (Milt) Fishman.
She is also survived by her former husband,
Frank Komorowski; and many loving cous-
ins, nieces, nephews, other family members
and friends.
She was the loving daughter of the late Dr.
Robert Ross and the late Bernice Wilson.
Contributions may be made to a charity
of one’s choice. Interment took place in New
York. Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel.

RONALD STERN, 90, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Jan.
7, 2016.
He is survived by his

ALVIN “IVIE” TENDLER, 84, died Dec. 24,
2015, in Midland.
He was a lifelong pharmacist and resident
of Huntington Woods and Kewadin, (Torch
Lake) Mich.
Mr. Tendler is survived by his children and
their spouses, Jill (Greg) Creswell, Michael
(Lisa) Tendler, Jennifer (Kirk) Luettke; seven
grandchildren; brother, Mitchell (Gene) of
San Diego; sister, Paula (Buzzy) Miller of Del
Mar; several cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra
(Wareham) Tendler; brothers, Sidney and
Marty Tendler; his parents, Max and Bertha
(Goldis) Tendler.

Dunstan’s Theater.

JEFFREY VINTON, 52,
of Farmington Hills, died
Dec. 31, 2016.
He was a brilliant auto-
motive engineer. Jeffrey
belonged to Temple Shir
Shalom; he loved to ride
a Harley Davidson and
Vinton
belonged to a Jewish
motorcycle group. He was
also a member of CHAIM. He was a wonder-
ful husband and father.
Mr. Vinton is survived by his wife, Barbara
Vinton; sons, Jake Vinton, Brett Vinton;
brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Andrea
Stawis of Oak Park; sisters and brothers-in-
law, Mimi Gross of Oak Park, Sonya Kevin,
Bonnie and Steven Growe of Oak Park;
mother-in-law, Ruby Fridson; sister-in-law
and brothers-in-law, Jody and Michael
Seidman, Alan Fridson.
He was the loving son of the late Brenda
and the late Harvey Vinton; dear son-in-law
of the late Sheldon Fridson.
