5, 2016.
He practiced
optometry for more
than 55 years in Mt.
Clemens, where he

Dr. Lux is survived
by his beloved wife,
Ellen Lux; daughters and sons-in-law,
Diane and Dr. John Krawitz, Dr. Jane and
Dr. Robert Krasnick; son and daughter-
in-law, Dr. Jeffrey and Dr. Allie Lux;
grandchildren, Ben and Lauren Krawitz,
Rachel, Leah and Julie Krasnick; many
cousins, other loving family members
and friends.
He was the devoted son of the late
Sam and the late Lillian Lux.

Star Good Conduct Medal. He was a
Chavalier in the French Legion of Honor
during World War II.
Mr. Miller is survived by his daughters
from wife Nancy Miller, Debra McLeod
of New York City and Marcia Najee
Lynn Miller of Honolulu, Hawaii; wife
Ilene’s children, Barbara and Edward
Gudeman, Sandy and Roger Henkin,
Debbie and Larry Harwood; loving
Papa Sol of Ali Jackson, Khalil Jackson,
Breza Miller, Jordyn, Nicole and Justin
Gudeman, David and Taylor Henkin,
Danny Harwood; adoring great-grand-
father of Tamian Jackson, Aziel Jackson;
dear brother of Annette Miller (the late

Mr. Miller was the beloved husband
for 23 years of the late Ilene Milller;
devoted son of the late Abraham and the
late Sylvia Miller.

ALVIN NACHMAN,
92, of Oak Park, died
Jan. 9, 2016.
An Army veteran
of World War II, Mr.
Nachman won a
sharpshooter medal
with the engineering
Nachman
division of the 70th
Army. He served in
North Africa, France, Germany, Italy
and Austria under General Patch. He
was an active member of the Jewish War
Veterans.
Mr. Nachman was also a member
and usher for Congregation B’nai
Moshe, when it was in Oak Park, and
Congregation Shaarey Zedek. He bowled
on leagues with the synagogues in the
1950s.
Mr. Nachman is survived by his son,
Jonathan Nachman of Berkley; sister, Dr.
Rochelle Solomon of Kansas City, Mo.;
sister-in-law, Nina Nachman; nieces and
nephews, Michael and Judy Nachman,
Eli Solomon, Tanya Solomon.
He was the beloved husband for 53
years of the late Marilyn Nachman; dear
brother and brother-in-law of the late
Sheldon and the late Shirley Nachman,
the late Reuben Nachman and the late
Ben Solomon.
