NANCY ROSS, 73, of Palm Beach Fla., formerly of Detroit, died Jan. 7, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the regional director of admissions for the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, St. Kitts, and helped many students achieve their dreams of becoming physicians. ALVIN “IVIE” TENDLER, 84, died Dec. 24, 2015, in Midland. He was a lifelong pharmacist and resident of Huntington Woods and Kewadin, (Torch Lake) Mich. Mr. Tendler is survived by his children and their spouses, Jill (Greg) Creswell, Michael (Lisa) Tendler, Jennifer (Kirk) Luettke; seven grandchildren; brother, Mitchell (Gene) of San Diego; sister, Paula (Buzzy) Miller of Del Mar; several cousins, nephews and nieces. Jeffrey belonged to Temple Shir Shalom; he loved to ride a Harley Davidson and Vinton belonged to a Jewish motorcycle group. He was also a member of CHAIM. He was a wonder- ful husband and father.
