Bloomfield. She is
the loving daughter
of Judy Galens and
Brigham Narins, and sister of Graham.
She is the grandchild of Jane Galens,

the late Dr. Gilbert J. Galens, Dr.
Robert Narins and the late Barbara
Narins. Her late great-grandparents are
Grace and Harry Galens, Ialene and
George Herriman, Anastasia and
Robert Heidt, and Beatrice and
Benjamin Narins.
Sophie attends O.E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. She vol-
unteered with Peer Corps to work at
D-Town Farm, which grows organic
produce for Detroit residents, and
found this experience to be the most
meaningful of her many mitzvah proj-

r. David and Sandy Kirsch of
Huntington Woods are over-
joyed to announce the engage-
ment of their daughter Lauren to Zachary
Weiss, son of Bob and Sandie Weiss of West
Bloomfield.
Lauren is a graduate of Columbia College
in Chicago, Ill.; Zack is a graduate of the
University of Michigan. Lauren works as
a regional account manager for a fashion
designer, and Zack works as a manager of
development and acquisitions for a com-
mercial real estate firm.
Lauren and Zack originally met on the
Metro Detroit teen mission to Israel in 2000
and are so excited to share their wedding
with many, many family and friends. Their
September wedding and reception will be
held at the Masonic Temple in Detroit. Rabbi David Nelson and Dr. Joel Kirsch,
brother of the bride, will co-officiate.
The couple reside in Huntington Woods.

and Richard Wolschlager and Diane
