Anniversary Menu
In honor of its 13-year anniversary,
Bacco Ristorante in Southfield is
serving up a special menu. Lunch or
dinner guests can choose from a spe-
cial menu of $13 entrees through May
15 (except for Saturdays). Featured
entrees are strozzapreti norcina with
sausage, truffle oil, tomatoes and
cream. Other pasta dishes are tomato
basil gnocchi, cavatelli with wild
mushroom ragu and braised beef bris-
ket pappardelle. For carnivores, there
is the flank steak, house burger or
lamb meatballs with white polenta and
grilled scallions. There's also a salmon
and whitefish dish.

"The response from restaurants and
retailers to participate as food and
beverage sampling locations has
been overwhelming and impressive
to say the least," says Carol Lewis,
executive director of Connect in the
Kitchen, the nonprofit producer of
the event.
All restaurants and retailers will
be food or beverage sampling loca-
tions.
Attendees are encouraged to come
hungry, thirsty and excited to expe-
rience Birmingham for the first time
or like never before.
The Birmingham Grub Crawl is
the perfect opportunity to sample
great restaurants such as the Bird
& the Bread, Cafe Via, the Stand,
Hunter House, Rojo Mexican
Bistro, Mad Hatter Bistro, 220
Merrill, as well as culinary and non-
culinary retailers such as Art Loft,
the Italian Dish, Birmingham Wine
Shop, Bec & Sam's, Primi Piatti, Lark
