Beth Ahm Wine Tasting
And Strolling Dinner
Experience the tastes of fine wines and
food as Congregation Beth Ahm in West
Bloomfield hosts a dinner featuring reds
and whites from around the world. The
wine will be expertly paired during a
strolling dinner and presented by Plum
Market Master Sommelier Madeline
Triffon and will deepen one's apprecia-
tion for wine and its harmony with dif-
ferent types of cuisine.
Included will be French Champagne,
Napa Valley Pinot Noir, New Zealand
Sauvignon Blanc, un-oaked Chardonnay
from the Judean Hills, Cabernet
Sauvignon from the Galilee, Haut-
Medoc Bordeaux from France, Italian
Sangiovese, a Spanish Garnacha blend
and more. All wine is kosher mevushal

Tamarack Focuses On
Special Needs Campers
Tamarack Camps has hired Franki
Bagdade as the new director of special
needs services.
Through the generosity of the
Dresner Foundation and the Benard L
Maas Foundation along with the
Jewish Fund and
other key supporters,
funds have been
secured to provide
comprehensive staff
training and support
for Tamarack Camps'
Special Needs
Programs: Nachman
Franki
Horizons Camper
Bagdade
Program and
Horizons Avodah Young Adult Program.
The Nachman Horizons Camper
Program allows campers to integrate
into villages and participate in camp

activities. Campers will also have the
support of an additional bunk counselor
trained to work directly with them. The
Horizons Avodah Young Adult Program
provides participants with the opportu-
nity to work in specific areas of camp as
well as enjoy a variety of camp activities.
Bagdade is an experienced special
education consultant with a master's
degree in special education. A special
needs task force, chaired by Dr. Barbara
Kappy, is reviewing current practices,
challenges and opportunities to position
Tamarack Camps to best meet the future
needs of the community.
Darren Findling, Tamarack president,

to ensuring that all children, including
those with special needs, enjoy a quality

There will be a special needs programs
parlor meetings on Tuesday, April 28.
The Horizons program (entering grade
2-6) will meet 6-7 p.m.; the Avodah pro-
gram (entering grade 11-young adult)
will meet 7- 8 p.m. at the Tamarack
Camps office, 6735 Telegraph, Suite 380,

Fashion Luncheon
Helps Crohn's Group
The Eighth Annual Fashion Show
Luncheon benefiting the Michigan
Chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis
Foundation of America will feature a
fashion show highlighting some of this
spring's hottest looks and trends from
Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as a raffle
and silent auction.
It will take place Wednesday, May
6, beginning at 11 a.m. at Knollwood
Country Club, 5050 W. Maple,
Bloomfield Township.
Patron-level tickets are $150 and
include the luncheon, five raffle tickets
and a gift bag.
Benefactor-level tickets are available
for $250, which include VIP seating, a
$25 Saks Fifth Avenue Gift Card, 10 raf-
fle tickets and recognition in the event
program book.

More than 82 cents of every dol-
lar raised at this year's Fashion Show
Luncheon will go directly to support
the mission of CCFA, which is to cure
Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and
to improve the quality of life of children
and adults affected by these diseases.
This year's CCFA Benefit Chair is Lois
Shulman, a Bloomfield Hills resident
and original Fashion Committee Benefit
Member and longtime CCFA supporter.
Co-chairing the event are Kim Belz of
ReMax on the Trail and Katie Coleman
of Sellers Automotive.
