Shoah Film Shows Efforts
To Save Hungarian Jews
The Program for Holocaust Survivors
and Families, which is part of Jewish
Senior Life, will benefit from a show-
ing of Walking With The Enemy, a
Holocaust action film starring Ben
Kingsley, shown at the MJR Troy,
at Maple and Livernois, on Friday-
Sunday, March 27-29, at 7 p.m.
Twenty percent of ticket sales will go
to support the program.
The movie shares the story of
how Hungarian Jews were saved in
a variety of ways from Nazi persecu-
tion, including with the aid of a local
church, a Swiss ambassador and a
Jewish man dressed as a Nazi soldier.
HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Meditation Workshop
Adat Shalom Synagogue in
Farmington Hills is offering a
Meditation & Mindfulness workshop
for people who want to find ways to
build silence and space in their busy
lives.
A pet project of Rabbi Aaron
Bergman, the Sunday morning gath-
erings, open to all, are part discus-
sion and part meditation. They are
designed to help people learn how
to react better to life's challenging
situations. Bergman, whose parents
started transcendental meditation
when he was 9, developed his own
meditation practice as a teenager.
Meditation & Mindfulness takes
place at 9:30 a.m. on March 22, April
