KENNETH RASKIN,
53, of Sacramento, Calif.,
died Nov. 20, 2014.
Ken graduated with

a master's in orchestral
conduction from the
University of Michigan
in 2001 and earlier from
Raskin
Hartt School of Music,
University of Hartford,
with a bachelor's degree
in trumpet performance. He was the direc-
tor of operations and orchestra personnel
and was associate conductor with the
Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera for
the past six years. He was also a classical
trumpeter, performing and conducting
in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay
area. Formerly, he served as the assis-
tant conductor with the North Carolina
Symphony. Ken lived as a passionate musi-
cian, conductor and dramatic musical edu-
cator and worked to make music accessible
and relevant to children and families. He
enjoyed biking and traveling. He had a

wonderful sense of humor and was a great
friend to many. He will be deeply missed
by his friends, family and all who knew
him.
Mr. Raskin is survived by his brother,
Steven Raskin of Berkeley, Calif.; sister,
Roberta Raskin (Giorgio Gaudenzi) of
Farmington; nephew, Michael Raskin of
Santa Cruz, Calif.; a sister-in-law, aunts,
uncle and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents,
Hilda and Elmer Raskin, and his sister,
Carol Raskin.
A memorial service in California will be
planned in the coming weeks.

WELLS "SKIP" SNOVER, 71, of
Farmington Hills, died Nov. 22, 2014.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Barbara Snover; sons and daughter-in-
law, Joe Snover of Farmington Hills, Mark
and Nicole Snover of West Bloomfield;
daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Richard
Shenkan of West Bloomfield; sister,
Sheri Snover of Berkley; grandchildren,
Stephanie Snover and Jack Shenkan; many
loving nieces, nephews, other family mem-
bers and friends.
Contributions may be made to the
Wounded Warrior Project or to a char-

ity of one's choice. Interment took place
at Machpelah Cemetery in Ferndale.
Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel.

STEPHEN TAMOR, 88, of San Diego,
Calif., died Nov. 26, 2014.
Mr. Tamor is survived by his daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Lynne Tamor and
Michael Sugar; sons and daughters-in-law,
Kenneth and Carol Tamor, Michael and
Helen Tamor; son-in-law, Fred Hansen;
grandchildren, Rachel and Isaac Sugar,
Benjamin Tamor and Robert Hansen;
sister and brother-in-law, Lucille Adler
Goldsmith and Alan Goldsmith; other lov-
ing relatives and friends.
Mr. Tamor was the beloved husband of
the late Jeanne Cohen Tamor; the cher-
ished father of the late Sharon Tamor
Hansen.
