Psychology in
Birmingham.
He is survived by his daughter and
son-in-law, Cheryl Scott Dube and Paul
Dube of Grosse Pointe; son and daughter-
in-law, David Katzman and Heidi Weger
of Metamora; grandchildren, Josh and
Carolyn Scott, Sara and Paul Jodoin,

Mr. Katzman was the beloved husband
of the late Ruth Katzman; the loving
brother of the late Leonard Katzman and
the late Sandra Davis.

died March 8, 2014.
Passionate about
arts of all kind, Mrs.
Maisels volunteered at
Cranbrook Art Museum
and personally encour-

aged local artists,
following their work,
supporting their shows and buying their
pieces.
She welcomed many members of the
community to her dinner table with her
customary warmth and hospitality and
brought meals to many in need. A tire-
less worker for others, among her many
deeds, she chaired the Social Action
Committee and served food to homeless
guests at Adat Shalom Synagogue, vol-
unteered at Yad Ezra, Meals on Wheels,
Hadassah, BookStock, Federation's
annual campaign, and she read to chil-
dren at a Detroit elementary school.
Mrs. Maisels is survived by her hus-
band of 52 years, Dr. Jeffrey Maisels;
daughters and son-in-law, Gabrielle
Maisels, and Amanda Maisels and
Thomas Oscherwitz; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Rabbi James and Debbie
Jacobson-Maisels; grandchildren,
Amelia and Helena Oscherwitz, and
Ella and Amiel Jacobson-Maisels; sis-
ter, Dianne Elkin; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Keith Maisels, Elizabeth
Maisels and Jesmond Blumenfeld, Helen
Maisels Trisk and Benjamin Trisk.
She was the cherished mother of the
late Lisa Maisels; the devoted daugh-
ter of the late Louis and the late Mona
Elkin.

DONALD RATNER, 82, of Battle Creek,
died March 14, 2014.

DR. HAROLD ROSEN,
93, of Bloomfield Hills,
died March 9, 2014.
He served four years
in the Navy. He went
to the University of
Michigan for his under-
graduate studies and

for dental school and
was a practicing dentist for 59 years.
Dr. Rosen is survived by his wife of 64
years, Lorrie Rosen; daughters and sons-
in-law, Sydell and Dr. Allan Michael
Grant of West Bloomfield, and Ellyn
and Jeffrey Paul Weigand of Commerce
Township; grandchildren, Dr. Kevin
David Grant and Dr. Paul Aaron Grant;

He was the cherished brother of the
late Dr. Marvin Rosen; the devoted son

Harris Rosen; the dear brother-in-law of

MASAL "TONI"
ROSENFELD, 81, of
Bloomfield Hills, died
March 15, 2014.
She was a Holocaust
survivor, who, after the
war, went to Israel and
studied and trained as
Rosenfeld
a nurse at Hadassah
Hospital. Mrs. Rosenfeld
lived in Israel from
1948-1959, when she
moved to the states. She
worked here as a practic-
ing nurse and then as
the office manager of
her husband's medical
practice. Mrs. Rosenfeld was a member of
Hadassah of Greater Detroit.
She is survived by her sons, Dr. Joel
Rosenfeld of Bloomfield Hills and David
Rosenfeld, also of Bloomfield Hills; daugh-
ters, Dianne Rosenfeld of Florida and
Dr. Suzanne Rosenfeld of Paris, France;
former daughters-in-law, Amy Rosenfeld
and Stacey Gilbert; grandchildren,
Raquel, Zachary, Daniel, Adam and Max
Rosenfeld; sisters, Esther Gean of Rome,
Italy, and Margherita Habib of Milan, Italy;
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from
around the world.
Mrs. Rosenfeld was the beloved wife of
the late Dr. Jacques Rosenfeld; the loving
sister of the late Hannah Hachmon, the
late Lena Beffa and the late Mino Attia.
