MANNY FONER,

82, of West
Bloomfield, died July
21, 2013.
He gradu-
ated Wayne State
University with
a bachelor of sci-

engineering. He
also served in the Marine Corps from
1950-1952.
With eight partners, Mr. Foner
owned a company that built test stands
for automotive and aircraft parts.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy;
their son, Michael; adoring grandchil-
dren, Emily, Claire, Jillian and Gabriel
Mazius; son-in-law, Scott; brother and
sister-in-law, Ezra and Frona.
He was the brother of the late
Sally Silverstein and the late Nathan
Ossepow; father of the late, adored
daughter, Jessica Mazius.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. A private inter-
ment took place. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.

Detroiter of California, died July 24,
2013. He was a former military ser-
viceman.
Dr. Gersuk is survived by his loving
wife, Helene; three children, Geoffrey,
David and Matthew; brother, Marvin;
other relatives.
Interment was in California.

Newman.

GERALDINE A. PASTERNAK, 83,

of Southfield, died July 25, 2013.
She was an active member of
National Council of Jewish Women
and a participant in a multi-
tude of their programs as well as
Hadassah, Meals On Wheels and
the Orchards. She was a life mem-
ber of Congregation B'nai Moshe;
and she supported many of the arts
in Detroit, including the Jewish
Historical Society, the DSO and the
DIA.
Mrs. Pasternak is survived by her
husband of 60 years, Abe Pasternak;
daughter, Judy Pasternak of
Farmington Hills; son and daughter-
in-law, Marty Pasternak and Tammy
Kornfeld of Merrick, N.Y.; sister-in-
law, Billie Nagler; grandchildren,
Hillary Pasternak, Jenna Pasternak;
many loving nephews, other relatives
and friends.
She was the dear sister and sister-
in-law of the late Charles Nagler,
the late Bluma and the late Rueben
Scheiner, the late Ruth "Dula" and
the late Norman Silver, the late
Elaine and the late Charles Koshar.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Interment
was held at Oakview Cemetery.
Arrangements by Hebrew Memorial
Chapel.
