She felt her most important mitzvah
project was participating in the West
Bloomfield Relay for Life.

lings Eliana, Ari and Ryan, as well as
his grandparents Marlene Gelfand,
Marshall Saperstein, and Jerry and
Jacque Cohen. He is also the grand-
child of the late Bobbie Saperstein.
Jacob attends Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. He felt his
most meaningful mitzvah project was
to help serve the homeless over the
holidays.

Park. Sharing in the simchah were
his brothers Yoni and Ilan Weiss and
stepbrothers and stepsisters Abigail,
Joseph and Ari Wolfson, Rachel and
Danielle Steinik and Isabella Collins.
The family was delighted to have
great-grandmothers Marcia Hammer
and Elizabeth Weiss celebrate with
them. Ari's proud grandparents are
Jil Hammer, Joel and Susan Gottlieb,
and Avra Weiss. Ari is also the
grandson of the late Leslie (Laszlo)
Weiss.
Ari attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. As part of his mitzvah proj-
ect, Ari was involved with West
Bloomfield-based Friendship Circle.

ebrate their b'nai mitzvah on Friday,
June 14, at Temple Shir Shalom in
West Bloomfield. Sharing in their joy
is their younger sister Maya. Katie
and Joey are the grandchildren of
Connie and the late Jerry Wolberg,
and Sheila Stone and the late Ron
Stone.
Katie and Joey are seventh-graders
at Norup International School in Oak
Park. Among their many mitzvah
projects was volunteering at Open
Hands, a food pantry for those in
need in Royal Oak.
