ents Nancy and Nathan Kolender,
Debbie and Henry Gornbein, and
Rebecca and Clayton Jerris will share in
the simchah. The family is thrilled to
have great-grandmother Reva Gornbein
with them for the celebration.
Ben attends Walnut Creek Middle
school in Walled Lake. He felt help-
ing children at West Bloomfield-based
Friendship Circle was the most mean-
ingful of his mitzvah projects.

Southfield. His proud
parents are Drs. Steven
and Susan Cohen of

Franklin. Josh is the
youngest brother of
Jaymie, Samuel and Noah Cohen.

mother Marilyn Mayers, all of Cleveland,
Ohio. Joshua is the grandson of the late
Dr. Herbert Mayers.
Joshua is a seventh grader at
Berkshire Middle School in Beverly
Hills. For his mitzvah project, Josh col-
lected books that will be given to the
William Beaumont Children's Hospital
Pediatric Clinic.

(Broadman) Bershad
of Houston, Texas, are
thrilled to announce

Joshua Alexander
(Yehoshua). Sharing in
Bershad
their joy were big sister,
6-year-old Georgette,
and proud grandparents Ruchel Broadman
of Jacksonville, Fla., and Stan and Barbara
Bershad of West Bloomfield. He is also
the grandson of the late Dr. Stephen
Broadman. Joshua is the 10th great-grand-
child of Elsie Yellin of Jacksonville. Joshua
is named in loving memory of his paternal
great-grandfather Dr. Joseph Slusky and
his maternal great-great-great-grandfather
Abraham Milstuk.

Sarah attends O.E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project was work-
ing at Gleaners Food Bank, packing
boxes of food for the needy.

Marchione was called
to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Saturday,
June 1 at Temple
Emanu-El in Oak Park.
Isabella is the daughter
of Linda and Victor
Marchione
Marchione of
Huntington Woods,
sister of Aviva and Shayna, and of her late
infant brother and sister, Nolan Leonard
and Kala Arielle Marchione. Also joining
in the happiness were her grandparents
Arlene Weinberger, Ken and Leah
Weinberger, and Frank Marchione. With
her in spirit were her late grandmothers
Sue Weinberger and June Marchione.
Isabella is a seventh-grader at Norup
International School in Oak Park and
has devoted many years to commu-
nity service work. She has worked at
Gleaners Food Bank with her parents for
the last seven years, volunteering every
other month by packaging food for the
less fortunate.
