PHYLLIS A. CLINTON, 87, of
Farmington Hills, died April 11, 2012.
She is survived by her son, Robert
N. Clinton and his partner Janette
Silverman of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughters
and son-in-law, Anne Clinton-Cirocco
of Gurney, M., and Sue and Lorne Leon
of Farmington Hills; grandchildren,
Erica (Brent Never) Clinton, Aaron Seth
Clinton, Erin Clinton-Cirocco (fiance,
David Owen), Kelly Clinton-Cirocco,
Marcus Leon (fiancée, Tabitha Negrea),
Jeffrey Leon; great-grandchildren, Noah
Pavelich and Tilly Jennifer Never.
Mrs. Clinton was the beloved wife of
the late Fred R. Clinton; the sister of the
late Elaine Johnson; the grandmother
of the late Jennifer (Joseph Pavelich)
Pavelich Clinton.
Contributions may be made
to Hospice of Michigan or to
Congregation Beth Shalom or to Mazon.
Interment took place at the Clover
Hill Park Cemetery in Birmingham.

FLORENCE
LIPTON, 83, of
Sherman Oaks, Calif.,
and Detroit, died
April 3, 2012.
She graduated
from Wayne State
University and taught
Lipton
English at Belmont
High School in Los
Angeles. Mrs. Lipton loved playing ten-
nis, bridge and backgammon. She was
active in social issues and attended
ethical culture and Humanistic Judaism
meetings. She loved the music of
Leonard Cohen and Harry Nilsson.
Mrs. Lipton is survived by her
daughter, Cathy (Grossman) McMullen;
grandchildren, Lea and Brad Donohue,
Sara and Patrick Haynes; great-
grandchildren, Nigel Donohue, Sophia
and Nathan Haynes; sister and brother
in-law, Eileen and Marvin Goldman;
brother-in-law, Fred Nederlander; dear
nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted
friends.
She was the loving mother of the late
Lauri Grossman; loving sister of the late
Betty Nederlander and the late Edward
Ferentz.

JULIUS "MARK"
MARKMAN, 89, of
West Bloomfield,
died April 14, 2012.
He is survived by
his wife of 64 years,
Pauline Markman;
sons and daughter-
Markman
in-law, Stephen and
Kathy Markman of Mason, Mich., Bruce
Markman of West Bloomfield; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Susan and Steven
Dovitz of Farmington Hills; grandchil-

dren, Emily and Ryan Kravetz, Anne
and Jason Canvasser, Melanie Dovitz,
James Markman, Charles Markman,
David Markman, Lisa Markman, Laura
Markman. He is also survived by Jean
Markman.

ROBERT MORDIS, 87, of Ann Arbor,
died April 16, 2012.
He was a civil engineer and project
manager at M-DOT for 35 years.
Mr. Mordis was a World War II Army
veteran who served with Gen. Patton at
the Battle of the Bulge. He also partici-
pated in the liberation of Mauthausen
concentration camp; a picture of him
taking part in the liberation is at the
United States Holocaust Memorial
Museum in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Mordis is survived by his wife
of 59 years, Sophie Mordis; son and
daughter-in-law, David and Judi Mordis
of Belmont, Mich.; daughter, Laura
Mordis-Jackson of Kimball, Mich.;
grandchildren, Andrew Jackson and
Nathaniel Jackson; sister, Alice M.
Rosenblatt; sister-in-law and brother-
in-law, Dorothy Newman and Martin
Katz; and nieces and nephews.
He was the loving brother of the late
Eva Mordis and the dear brother-in-law
of the late Sidney Katz.
Interment was at Arborcrest
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to the Jewish Community Center
of Greater Ann Arbor, 2935 Birch
Hollow Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48108;
or Congregation B'nai Israel, 2000
Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor, MI 48104.

DIANE NEUMAN,
88, of Oak Park, died
April 5, 2012.
She is survived

nephews.
Mrs. Neuman was the beloved wife of
the late Mike Neuman; loving mother
of the late Joseph Neuman; dear sister-
in-law of the late Nathan Roth and the
late Jack Feig.
