West Bloomfield,
died Feb. 4, 2012.
She is survived
by her son and
daughter-in-law,

Vegas; grandchil-
dren, Jennifer and Todd Krieger,
Jaclyn and Jerimya Fox, Melissa
Ephraim and Bradley Ephraim;
great-grandchildren, Mayer Krieger,
Morgan and Brielle Fox; sister and
brother-in-law, Beverly Bond and
Richard O'Connor; brother-in-law,
Jerry Goldman; other family and
friends.
Mrs. Ephraim was the beloved
wife of the late Bernard Ephraim;
the loving mother of the late
Mitchell Ephraim; the dear sister
of the late Marlene Goldman; the
devoted daughter of the late Bertha
Taylor and the late Joseph Taylor.
Interment was at Hebrew
Memorial Park Cemetery.

DOROTHY FINMAN, 86, of New
Jersey, died Jan. 23, 2012.
She is survived by her children,
Rabbi Herschel and Chana Finman
of Oak Park, Sigmund and Suzanne
Finman of Pittsburgh, Pa., Yisroel
and Yehudis Finman of Boca
Raton, Fla., Martha Finman of New
Rochelle, N. Y., Tovah and Dr. Alan
Nachman of Ghent, N. Y., Shirley
Winters and Joseph Kuntz; 13 grand-
children; eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Finman was the beloved wife
of the late Henry Finman.
Contributions may be made to
the Chabad. The funeral service and
interment were held in New Jersey.
This announcement was placed at
the request of the family by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.

JANE BERNSTEIN GORDON, 78, of
Atlanta, Ga., died Feb. 4, 2012.
She was born in New York City on
March 4, 1933, one of three children
and the only daughter of Samuel L.
and Anne Bernstein.
Mrs. Gordon grew up in the
Fort Washington Heights area of
Manhattan. She moved to Michigan
to attend college and graduated from
Michigan State University in 1954. It
was at college where she met David,
and they married in 1954. They
settled in the Detroit area, where

Jane began a 40-year teaching career
with the Ferndale Public School
System. Her devotion to education
and young people won her the acco-
lades of colleagues and administra-
tors alike and a loyal following of
students and families.
Retiring in 1994, she continued
to pursue her passion in reading;
she was always willing to pass along
a tip for a good book to read or to
lend one from her overflowing col-
lection. A terrific conversationalist,
she was a warm and receiving per-
son who mixed well in any setting
and enjoyed many friendships.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law, Barbara
and Philip Beaudette of Atlanta, Ga.;
son, Harry Gordon of Lakeland, Fla.;
grandchildren, Kristen Gordon and
Erik Gordon; brothers and sisters-
in-law, Joel and Vera Bernstein
of Irvington, N.Y., and Herbert
Bernstein of Long Island, N.Y., and
niece and nephew, Linda and Daniel
Brocket and their three children.
For 56 years, she was the beloved
wife of the late David E Gordon
and the devoted daughter of the
late Samuel L. and the late Anne
Bernstein.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
directed to Visiting Nurse of Atlanta,
5775 Glenridge Drive, Suite E200,
Atlanta, GA 30328 www.vnhs.org.

Yellin, Jennifer (Mark) Bylok; great-
grandson, Calder; many other loving
family members and friends.
Mrs. Kahn was the loving wife of
the late Marvin Kahn.

charity of one's choice. Interment
was held at the Clover Hill
Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
