r. Morris Mintz of Southfield
marked his first century. Along
with his children, grandchil-
dren and great-grandchildren, 12 in all, he
celebrated his 100th birthday on June 10.
He was an ophthalmologist in the Detroit
area for over 60 years. He was recently
honored as the oldest living graduate of his
University of Michigan medical school class
of 1935.

ue and Mike Salesin of West
Bloomfield celebrated their 50th
LP wedding anniversary on Aug. 20.
They marked this special occasion with
a dinner party in Charlevoix, where their
extended family has vacationed since the
1930s. At the celebration were their three
children and their spouses, Faith and David
Becker, Lowell and Heather Salesin, and
Amy and Adam Gershwin.Their seven
grandchildren, Aaron, Rachel, Noah, Kate,
William, Jordan and Avery, also partici-
pated.

onnie and Morry Levin of
Farmington Hills are thrilled to
announce the engagement of
their daughter Julie Renee to Eric David,
son of Ruth and Ralph Greenberg of West
Bloomfield.
Julie graduated from Michigan State
University and earned her medical degree
from Chicago College of Osteopathic
Medicine-Midwestern University. She is
finishing the last year of her emergency
medicine residency.
Eric graduated from the University of
Michigan and earned his medical degree
from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed
a residency in internal medicine and is a cardiology fellow.
A fall wedding is planned at Lovett Hall in Dearborn. After a honeymoon in
Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Huntington Woods.
