died July 7, 2011.
She is survived
by her beloved hus-

and sisters-in-law, Richard and Rhea
Sweet of California, Dr. Stephen
and Linda Sweet of Massachusetts;
mother, Shirley Sweet; grandchil-
dren, Jamie, Miles, Harrison, Jessica,
Mollie, Casie and Eli; sister-in-law
of Melvin (Paula) Menuck, Paula
Menuck and the late Leslie Menuck;

Mrs. Menuck was the daughter of
the late Hy Sweet; the daughter-in-
law of the late Jack and the late Rose
Menuck.

CLARA NEUMAN, 100, of
Southfield, died July 6, 2011.
She was a member of the Pinsker
Progressive Aide Society.
Mrs. Neuman is survived by her
daughter, Linda Rose Neuman of
Southfield; son, Arnold Neuman
of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter-
in-law, Mary Neuman of Macomb;
grandchildren, Marla Pino, Brian
and Carlyn Neuman, Philip and Lara
Neuman, Chris and Tonya Neuman
and Amy Dunlap; great-grand-
children, Maxwell, Tyler, Kailee,
Courtney, Madison, Kennedy, Audrey,
Peyton, Caleb, Winston, Quinton and
Elan; treasured nephews and nieces,
Irving and Beverly Laker, Jerry
and Elaine Laker, Marty and Renee
Laker; many other loving relatives
and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Harry Neuman; loving mother
of the late Sherwin Neuman; cher-
ished sister of the late Sarah (the
late Harry) Laker, the late Rose
(the late Henry) Lang, the late
Joseph Kleiman and the late Faivish
Kleiman.

MAMIE BARDEN PARR, 98, of
Lauderhill, Fla., died July 4, 2011.
She was a teacher.
Mrs. Parr is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Elliot and
Sheila Barden of California; neph-
ews and nieces, Clifford and Janice
Buchman and Edward and Michelle
Buchman; many friends.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Louis Barden and the late David
Parr; the loving sister of the late
Emily Buchman; the dear sister-in-
law of the late Isadore Buchman.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements
by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

BRIAN JEFFREY
SAKS, 43, of Novi
lost his battle with
cancer on July 1,
2011, in Delray
Beach, Fla.
The true corn-
petitor
that he was,
Saks
Brian fought until
the end. He was surrounded by his
loved ones, and he passed when the
sun was shining on an otherwise
rainy day.
He is survived by his loving fam-
ily: two sons, Jake and Logan Saks
of Farmington Hills; as well as
his mother, Trudy Saks of Delray
Beach, Fla; his father, Stanley Saks
of Southfield; and his sister and her
spouse, Heather Gould and Jonathan
Gould of Scottsdale, Ariz.
Brian will be laid to rest at
the Clover Hill Park Cemetery in
Birmingham, in a private ceremony
with his family on July 24, with a
public memorial service to follow at
Como's Restaurant in Ferndale from
4-7 p.m.
Gifts are being accepted for the
"Irrevocable Trust f/b/o Jake Saks
and Logan Saks" c/o Heather Gould,
17932 N. 100th Way, Scottsdale, AZ

MORRIS SCHINDLER, 97, of
Huntsville, Ala., died July 7, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Janet
Schindler; sons and daughters-in-
law, Irwin and Lalaine Schindler
of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Dr. David
and Nancy Schindler of Novi;
