ELAINE MASKIN,
86, of Farmington,
died April 11, 2011.
She was a home
economics teacher at
both Oak Park High
School and Troy
High School for 20
years. She was also a
longtime member of

Temple Beth El.
Mrs. Maskin was highly admired for
her magnificent knitting and needle-
point creations.
Mrs. Maskin is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Richard Maskin
and Sharon Silver Teweles, Douglas
and Marie Maskin; daughter and
son-in-law, Julie and David Rollins
of Farmington; grandchildren, Tricia
Maskin and Dale Kortes, Bridget and
Matthew Genette, Genevieve Caffelli,
Colleen and Todd Preheim, Robert
Maskin, Joshua Rollins and Sarah
Rollins; great-grandchildren, Thomas,
Aidan and Sydney Genette, Alyssa and
Ryan Kortes, Derek and Katherine
Preheim, Charlie and Keenan Caffelli;
brother and sister-in-law, Robert
and Sonny Barnett of Birmingham;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
Dr. Benjamin and Jeanette Reder;
many nieces, nephews and a world of
friends.
She was the beloved wife of the
late George J. Maskin; the devoted
daughter of the late David and the late
Sarah Barnett; the dear sister-in-law
of the late Philip and the late Gertrude
Maskin, the late Rosalyn Reder and
the late Dr. Meyer Maskin.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.

MARTIN MELLIN,
63, of West
Bloomfield, died
April 6, 2011.
He was co-owner
of PCI Industries
Inc., instrumental
in
the construction
Mellin
and renovation of
various landmarks both in and out
of Michigan and highly philanthropic
throughout the community. He was
a supporter of the Friends of IDF,
Hebrew Free Loan, Jewish Federation
and Partners in Torah.
Mr. Mellin's family was his life and
his grandson was the "prince."
He will be greatly missed by all

those who were fortunate enough
to be touched by his kindness and
gentle spirit. He left his imprint on
the hearts of many.
He is survived by his beloved
wife of 41 years, Sandi Mellin;
children, Irika Mellin and Lauren
(Derek) Partovich; grandson, Blake
Morton Partovich; mother, Harriette
Mellen; brother, Jay (Paula) Mellin;
sister-in-law, Marcia Saperstein.

Zamler; nieces and nephews, Alyse
