DR. DAVID J.
KIKOLER, 62, passed
away on April 15,
2010, in Des Moines,
Iowa, after a valiant
battle with prostate
cancer. David was a
gastroenterologist in
Kikoler
the Des Moines area
for 23 years.
David was born in Detroit on Dec.
12, 1947. He earned a bachelor's
degree in economics and a master's
degree in occupational and envi-
ronmental health from Wayne
State University and earned a
medical degree at Chicago College of
Osteopathic Medicine.
A dedicated physician, David
cared deeply about the well-being
of his patients and the profession.
He loved sharing with his colleagues
and friends stories about his travels,
adventures in cooking and his family's
accomplishments.
David is survived and lovingly
remembered by his beloved wife of 38
years, Beverly; his daughter, Jennifer of
Brooklyn, N.Y.; son and daughter-in-
law, Jason and Misty of St. Joseph, Mo.;
brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and
Ethel of Glenview, Ill.; sister-in-law
and brother-in-law, Joanne and Joseph
Canavan of Southfield; niece and
nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held on
Sunday, April 18, at Temple B'nai
Jeshurun, Des Moines. Burial was
at Jewish Glendale Cemetery, Des
Moines. Memorials may be made to
a charity of donor's choice. Dunn's
Funeral Home in Des Moines is han-
dling arrangements.

GERTRUDE JACOBS LIPSITT, 93, of
Bloomfield Hills, died April 13, 2010.
She is survived by her daughters
and son-in-law, Linda and Douglas
Mossman of Bloomfield Hills, Carol
Lipsitt; son, Dr. Kenneth Lipsitt;
grandchildren, Brooke and Paul Wolf,
Wendy and Jason Yourofsky, Joshua
Zemon and David Zemon; great-
grandchildren, Marley and Dylan Wolf
and Zoe Yourofksy; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Dr. Bert and Muriel Jacobs;
sister-in-law, Thelma Lipsitt.
Mrs. Lipsitt was the beloved wife
of the late Dr. Seymour Lipsitt and
the loving sister of the late Dr. Martin
Jacobs and the late Sidney Jacobs.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
