KIKOLER, 62, passed away on April 15, 2010, in Des Moines, Iowa, after a valiant battle with prostate cancer. David was a gastroenterologist in Kikoler the Des Moines area for 23 years. David was born in Detroit on Dec. 12, 1947. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in occupational and envi- ronmental health from Wayne State University and earned a medical degree at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. A dedicated physician, David cared deeply about the well-being of his patients and the profession. He loved sharing with his colleagues and friends stories about his travels, adventures in cooking and his family's accomplishments. David is survived and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 38 years, Beverly; his daughter, Jennifer of Brooklyn, N.Y.; son and daughter-in- law, Jason and Misty of St. Joseph, Mo.; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Ethel of Glenview, Ill.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joanne and Joseph Canavan of Southfield; niece and nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 18, at Temple B'nai Jeshurun, Des Moines. Burial was at Jewish Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
