MARTIN W. "MARTY" ABRAMS, 85,
of Lincoln Park, Ill., passed away peace-
fully April 12, 2010, with his loving wife,
Manya, at his side.
Marty was a beloved son, husband,
uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend
to many. He was born in 1925 to Rae
Sodikoff Kraut. He was born and raised in
Chicago. He lived his adult life in New York
and Chicago.
Marty spent decades in the men's cloth-
ing industry as both a manufacturer and
manufacturer's rep. He served in the Army
Air Force.
Marty and the love of his life, Manya
Wolin Abrams, were married in 1986.
He was a longtime member of the East
Bank Club and will be sorely missed by
his Saturday lunch group at Gene and
Georgetti's.
Interment was at Machpelah Cemetery
in Flint on April 14. Officiating was
Marty's nephew, Rabbi David-Seth
Kirshner of Temple Emanu-El in Closter,
N.J. There will be a memorial service at
a later date in Chicago. In lieu of flowers,
the family asks that donations be made to
the National Parkinson Foundation (www.
parkinson.org ).

DOROTHY BERMAN, 80, of West
Bloomfield, died April 15, 2010.
She is survived by her sons and daugh-
ter-in-law, Fred Berman of Southfield,
Mark Berman of Bloomfield Hills, Rabbi
Scot and Esther Berman of Canada;
daughter and son-in-law, Rachelle Berman
and Corey Myers of Silver Spring, Md.;
brothers and sister-in-law, Milton and
Pat Lutren of Bay City, Leon Lutren of
Troy; grandchildren, Tziporah and Jason
Smilovitz, Chanah Berman, Renana and
Benji Levy, Avishai Berman, Shoshana
Myers, Aharon Yaakov Myers, Rina
Leah Myers; great-grandchildren, Shani
Smilovitz, Shia Smilovitz.
Mrs. Berman was the beloved wife of

the late Sterling Berman.
Contributions may be made to

48076 or to a charity of one's choice.
Services and interment were held at Bay
City B'nai Brith Cemetery in Bay City.

JUDITH B. CHASE, of
Palm Beach, Fla., and
formerly of New York,
N.Y., died March 26,
2010.
She is survived by her
two sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Gary and
Chase
Sharyn Kevin, of Hewlett
Harbor, N.Y., and
Stuart and Thea Kayne, together with her
grandchildren, Wyatt and Trent Kayne, of
Bloomfield Hills.
Judith was loving, giving and caring
to her family, as well as the multitude of
charities she was an avid contributor to.

Alzheimer's research facility of one's

BESSIE EISENBERG, 93, of Brooklyn,
N.Y., died April 18, 2010.
She is survived by her sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Sandy and Lori Eisenberg of
Southfield, Barry and Andi Eisenberg of
Southfield, Dennis and Terry Eisenberg of
Brooklyn; nine grandchildren; 18 great-
grandchildren.
Mrs. Eisenberg was the beloved wife of
the late Meyer Eisenberg.

GEORGE FENYVESI, of Windsor, Ont.,
died April 3, 2010.
George was born in Hungary in 1924.
He was a member of Shaarey Zedek con-
gregation of Windsor.
George was the beloved husband of
Katalin for 58 years. He will also be missed
by loving children Gilah (Richard) of
Toronto, Ont., and Ivan (Shelly) of White
Lake Township, Mich. He was loved by sis-
ter Susanna (Florida) and grandchildren
Amy and David.
Services were held Sunday, April 4. The
family suggests donations to the charity of
one's choice.

REVA YOLLES GERTNER, 91, of Palm
Beach Gardens, Fla., died April 16, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Wendy and David Potts of
Birmingham; many grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law,
Barbara Yolles.
Mrs. Gertner was the loving mother of
the late Beth Jacobs and the late Bryan
Yolles.
Interment in Florida. Contributions may
be directed to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

ELAINE GOLDSMITH, 65, of West
Bloomfield, died April 16, 2010.
She was a teacher. She was also a
member of Adat Shalom Synagogue,
led preschool programs with the West
Bloomfield Library and was a founder
of the Outreach Program for Senior
Citizens. She was honored many times by
West Bloomfield Library patrons.
Mrs. Goldsmith is survived by her hus-
band, Paul Goldsmith; sons, Dr. Jeffrey
Goldsmith and partner, Greg Durkin

LILLIAN GREENBLATT, 94, of West
Bloomfield, died April 17, 2010.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Esther and Harold Radin
of Commerce; son, Ernest Greenblatt
of Leslie, Mich; brother and sister-in-
law, John and Rena Anstandig of West
Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Belle Selter;
grandchildren, Jacqueline (Larry)
Taffel, Michelle (Steven) Schneider,
Sheila (Barry) Jay, Danielle Fantich,
Jeffrey (Felicia) Radin, David (Jamie)
Greenblatt; great-grandchildren, Adam,
Joshua, Melissa, Erica, Sarah, Emily,

other family members and friends.
Lillian was the beloved wife of the late
