DR. DAVID
BEGUN, of
Leesburg, Va., for-
merly of Detroit,
died April 20, 2009.
He was a physi-
cian of psychiatry at
Loudoun Hospital
Begun
Center and had a
private practice.
Dr. Begun is survived by his wife,
Patti Nelson; sons, Jeremy and Gabriel;
brother and sister-in-law, Martin Begun
and Robin Levine of Bloomfield Hills;
sister and brother-in-law, Karen and
Renzo Fidani of California; nephews
and niece, Evan and Dylan Begun, Josh
Fidani, John and Amorina Fidani.
He was the devoted son of the late
Dorothy "Dubby" and the late Paul
Begun; the loving brother of the late
Kenneth Begun.
Services and interment in Leesburg.

DR. LOUIS
"SONNY" BRATT,
95, born in Detroit,
died April 26, 2009.
He was an optom-
etrist in Dearborn
for over 50 years. He
was married to the
Bratt
love of his life, the
late Phyllis Bratt, for
50 years and shared a wonderful life
with her, their children and their fam-
ily, friends and neighbors. He will be
remembered for his quick wit, generos-
ity and fun-loving nature.
Dr. Bratt is survived by his daughter
and son-in-law, Carol and Gary Robin;
son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Richard
and Wendy Bratt; grandchildren, Elysa
and Michael Gillen, Evan and Colleen
Robin, Marci and fiance, Daniel Bykat,
Andrew and girlfriend, Jenny Hill;
great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kendall,
Maddy and Taylor.
He was the last survivor of seven
siblings.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

ESTHER CUTLER, 96, of Bloomfield
Hills, died May 3, 2009.
She was a social worker for the
city of Detroit and the state of
Michigan.
Mrs. Cutler is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert
and Nina Cutler of Bloomfield Hills;
daughter and son-in-law, Judith
and Robert Simmons of Bloomfield
Hills; grandchildren, Curt Cutler and
Elaine Titjen, Dr. Kenneth Cutler
and Dr. Mai-Phuong, Greg Simmons,
Lisa Burns and Neil Kumpers; great-
grandchildren, Jordan Titjen-Cutler,
Natalie, Isaiah and Sofia Cutler, Sofia
Kumpers; brother, Joseph Silverman
of Farmington; sister and brother-
in-law, Jeanne and Marvin Waksman
of California; sisters-in-law, Audrey
Silverman, Edythe Cutler; cousin
and best friend, Edith Leff; many
nieces and nephews.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Albert Cutler; dear mother-in-
law of the late Peggy Cutler; loving
sister of the late Louis Silverman;
dear sister-in-law of the late Leon
Cutler.
Interment at Workmen's Circle

PHILIP DWORIN,
90, of Southfield,
died May 2, 2009.
He is survived by

of Southfield;

son-in-law, Dr. Warren and Hedy
Tessler of West Bloomfield; grand-
children, Jason and Jill Dworin,
Jeremy Freedenberg, Emily and
Jeremy Goldman, Rachel Tessler-
Lopatin and Rabbi Asher Lopatin,
Dr. Ruth Tessler and Stuart Zisholtz,
Dr. David and Mary Tessler; nine
great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dworin was the beloved hus-
band of the late Bertha Dworin;
loving father of the late Charlotte
Tessler.

at B'nai Israel Memorial Gardens
