A teacher, admin-
istrator, assistant
Skelly
principal and
achievement specialist in the Detroit
Public Schools, Mrs. Skelly was on the
writer's committee of Greater Cities
Schools. She was a lifetime member
of Hadassah and the National Council
of Jewish Women and was also
active with the Sarasota Institute of
Lifetime Learning in Florida. In addi-
tion, she was the secretary for the
Sarasota Jazz Club.
Mrs. Skelly is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Dr. Selden and
Diane Skelly; daughter and son-
in-law, Susan and Norman Levine;
grandchildren, Lee Skelly, Josh Skelly,
Danielle and Dr. Paul Murphy, Debra
Coppen, Michelle Watnick and Michael
Weber, Erica and Jonathan Krause;
great-grandchildren, Justin, Alden and
Jonah Krause, Riley and Peyton Weber,
Rachel and Helen Murphy, Joshua
Schumacher; sister, Shirley Wiss;
sisters-in-law, Lois Weiss and Edith
Weiss; many nieces and nephews.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Alvin Skelly; the cherished sister of
the late Mary Robbins, the late Jack
Weiss, the late Ralph Weiss; dear sis-
ter-in-law of the late Meyer Wiss.
