ALICE JOAN LEVY LIPSHAW, 76,
formerly of Highland Park of Royal
Palm Beach, Fla., died Sept. 27, 2008,
after a valiant 1 1/2-year battle with
cancer. She spent most of her 76 years
caring for others. She was born in
Highland Park to Joseph and Paula
Hess Levy. Her sole sibling was her
sister Madelyn.
Mrs. Lipshaw was an accomplished
opera singer, having sung with the Met
chorus; later she mastered the semi
classics as an opening act at various
nightclubs around Detroit. She was
also a successful saleslady and bou-
tique owner with her dear friend the
late Mary Ball. She befriended count-
less at all social statuses.
Mrs. Lipshaw and her husband
moved to Florida in 1974 because of
son Jonathon's ill health.
She is survived by her beloved hus-
band of 56 years, Ralph; beloved chil-
dren, Douglas and Bradley Lipshaw,
Carolyn Fernandez; beloved grand-
children, Lauren, Grant, Alexander
and Jonathon Lipshaw and Jackie
Fernandez; all felt her unconditional
love. Her beloved daughter-in-law,
Linda Lipshaw, cared for her during
the battle with cancer as any daughter
could have.
She was the mother of the late
Jonathon.
The family held a memorial service
at the Palms West Funeral Home in
Royal Palm Beach. Contributions may
be made to Hospice of Palm Beach
County, 5300 East Ave, West Palm
Beach, FL 33401.

SHIRLEY MEYERSON, 88, of West
Bloomfield, died Oct. 3, 2008. A past
active member of National Council of
Jewish Women, she was involved with
Meals on Wheels and Angel Ball.
Mrs. Meyerson is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence
and Elaine Meyerson of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, Anne Meredith
and Douglas Mandeville; sister and
brother-in-law, Lila and Joseph Cogen
of Boca Raton, Fla.; many nieces and
nephews.
She was the beloved wife of the late
George Meyerson; the loving sister of
the late Lawrence Herzberg; devoted
daughter of the late Birdie and the late
Alick Herzberg.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

ROBERT S.
MILLER, 77, of
Orchard Lake, died
Oct. 2, 2008. He was
the founder and
owner of Bobson
Construction, which
was
founded in
Miller
1954. Mr. Miller
received his degree from Penn State
and was an active member of JCC
Health Club.
He is survived by his wife, Judy
Miller; daughters and sons-in-
law, Karen and Larry Farber of
Farmington Hills, Debbie and Jim
Black of California; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Richard and Sandy Miller
of Farmington Hills; grandchildren,
Rachel Fleish, David Fleish, Jennifer
Black, Alex Black, Josh, Sami, Kevin
and Katie Miller; brother and sister-
in-law, Dr. Herbert and Susan Miller;
nieces and nephews.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's choice.

LEONID RUDASHEVSKIY, 81, of
Royal Oak, died Oct. 5, 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Mayya
Rudashevskaya of Royal Oak; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Anna Kishelova
and Sergey Kishelov of West
Bloomfield; son and daughter-in-law,
Yuri and Dina Rudashevski of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Eleonora
Kishelova and her fiance, Seth Yeager,
Lina and Michelle Rudashevski. -
Mr. Rudashevskiy was the beloved
grandfather of the late Eugene
Kishelov.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

was a gifted pianist who delighted
