accomplishments was the Vietnam
Veteran's Outreach Program he helped
create in Detroit, as part of a nation-
wide effort to move counseling services
into the community in large metropoli-
tan areas.
Dr. Malos was himself a veteran of
World War II, serving for 28 months;
nine months of which were in the
European Theatre of Operations with
General Patton's Third Army. From
that tour of duty, he was awarded the
Bronze Star for heroism in carrying
messages under enemy fire. He was
further honored in being selected as a
color bearer when the command of the
U.S. Third Army was turned over by
General Patton to Lt. General Lucian K.
Truscott in a ceremony in Germany on
Oct. 7, 1945.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Betty Malos; son, Professor Stan Malos
of San Jose, Calif.; daughter and son-in-
law, Marlene and Guy Joslin of Melrose,
Mass.; grandchildren, Lauren and Ben
Joslin.
He was the dear brother of the late
Elwood Malos.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

KALMAYNE MORTON, 87, of
Pompano Beach, Fla., died Aug. 12,
2008.
A teacher for 30 years in the Detroit
Public School System, she was also a
member of ORT and Hadassah.
Mrs. Morton is survived by her
husband, Morris Morton of Pompano
Beach; children, Helaine and Andrew
Zack, Dr. Allan Morton, Dr. Bonnie
Benefield; grandchildren, Jeremy
Morton and his fiancee, Heather
Rardin, Marcy and John Fikay, Michael
Morton, Brandon Boeke, Brett Boeke,
Julie Zack and her fiance Christopher
Nesheim, Katy Zack, Emily Zack.
She was the beloved sister and sister-
in-law of the late E. Newton and the late
Beatrice Rottenberg.

She was an accom-
plished seamstress
and former owner of
Magda's Ready Made
Knits on Buckeye
Street in Wooster,
Ohio. She was born
April 3, 1923, to
Antol and Rosie Altberger.
Mrs. Rosner is survived by her
daughter, Barbara "Bobbie" Rosner-
Kanarek of West Bloomfield; son and
daughter-in-law, Steve and Sandra
Rosner of Valrico, Fla.; brother and
sister-in-law, Micki and Ibi Haron of
Kibbutz Shomrat, Israel; many loving
nieces, nephews and friends scattered
around the world.
She was the dear sister of the
late Cecile (Chibo) Baumgarten of
Southfield. She was preceded in death
by her parents and younger brother
during the Holocaust, and her former
husband, Dennis Rosner.
Graveside services were held at
Hebrew Memorial Park, officiated
by her godson, Rabbi Mark Weiss.
