RUTH SELIGSON, 88, of Farmington Hills,

died Aug. 12, 2008.
The retired owner of Today's Bride, she
had also been active as a buyer for Saks
and Hudson's. One of the first female disc
jockeys in the United States, she started in
New Orleans and also became an actress.
She continued her radio career at CKLW in
Windsor.
Mrs. Seligson is survived by her husband,
Leo Seligson of Farmington Hills; children,
Susan and Barry Jacobs of McLean, Va.,
Steve and Dawn Seligson of Walled Lake
and Jane and Jon Goldman of Ashland,
Ore.; grandchildren, Wendy and Jason
Armstrong, Josh and Lori Jacobs, Sam and
Erica Jacobs, Emily and Ben Smith, Rachel
and Gabe Molnar, Cory Norman, Tyler
Norman, Aaron Goldman, Zara Seligson;
great-grandchildren, Zeke Armstrong,
Emma, Lydia and Hazel Jacobs, Jack and
Charlie Smith.
She was the beloved daughter of the late
Fannie and the late Sam Pollock.
Interment at the Great Lakes National
Veterans Cemetery. Contributions may

be made to the Alzheimer's Association,
Detroit Area Chapter, 20300 Civic Center

HARRY SWINKIN,

88, of

Southfield, died

Aug. 14, 2008.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Bernice Swinkin; sons and daughter-in-
law, Jeff Swinkin of Southfield, Ronald
and Karen Swinkin of Livonia; brother,
Herbert Swinkin of Toronto; grandson, Kyle
Swinkin.
Mr. Swinkin was the dear brother of the
late Ruth Kossack; brother-in-law of the late
Sam Kossack, the late Sonia Swinkin, the
late Ethel and Dave Natinsky and the late
Dr. Dave and Dorothy Schiff.
Interment at B'nai Israel Memorial
Gardens. Contributions may be made to
the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity
of one's choice. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

JOYCE A. ZACK, 77, of Oak Park, died Aug.

16, 2008.

She is survived by her beloved husband,
Joseph Zack; daughter and son-in-law,
Andrea and Charles Burg of Bloomfield
Hills; brother and sister-in-law, Harry
and Lynn Morillo of Windsor; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Pat and Dary Reaume
of Canadian Lakes, Barbara Goebel of
Windsor, Connie and Rochard St. Onge
of Windsor, Eva and Charles Marshall of
Windsor; grandchildren, Cameron and
Sarah Burg; many loving nieces, nephews,
other family members and friends.
She was the dear mother of the late
Steven Zack.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to
the Oak Park Public Library or to a charity
of one's choice. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.
