ERNEST RUBINSTEIN, 81, of Oak

A

Toby Dobkin

Together with their children, they
built and worked Dobby's Formal
Wear Inc. in Livonia. Married for
37 years, they loved to travel
and were devoted to each other
and their children.
Toby was a consummate cook
and baker and was famous for
her legendary challahs and
gefilte fish. Long before meals
on wheels, she sent her children
on Detroit buses to feed needy
Jewish people in homes and hos-
pitals. She was also an accom-
plished ballroom dancer, who
received many trophies.
She put love into everything
she did as a main ingredient.
She loved people and put every-
one's needs before hers while
making them aware of their own
inner capacities. Her passion,
dignity, elegance, wit and style
endeared her to all. Her smile
and radiance, which revealed her
soul, will live on in all those who
knew her.
