GERALD. H. GOTTHELF, 76, of
Birmingham, died Nov. 19,
2005. He was an avid exercise
enthusiast, who played tennis,
was a long distance bicycle
rider and practiced yoga. His
community activity included
volunteer work at the
Birmingham Lion's Club, where
he also was a past president,
and the Michigan Chapter of
the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society. He was also on the
board of directors for the
Sarasota Congregation for
Humanistic Judaism.
He is survived by his wife,
Shirley Gotthelf; daughters and
sons-in-law, Gail and Mark
Fisher of Southfield, Beth
Gotthelf and Steven Miesowicz
of Birmingham; son and
daughter-in-law, Dennis and
Maria Gotthelf of Florida;
grandchildren, Sarah and Dana
and great-grandchildren,
Emma and Nolan.

HERMAN HALPRIN, 85, of
West Bloomfield, died Nov. 25,
2005. He owned the Box Bar in
Plymouth for over 27 years and
had the first "electronic pour"
in Michigan. In the Navy during
World War II, he served in the
Pacific Theater and became
active with the Veterans of
Foreign Wars in Plymouth. He

Bloomfield, died Nov. 20, 2005.
She is survived by her niece
and nephew, Ellen Weinstein
and David Weinstein; cousins,
