NORMAN RANDEL, 71, of
Farmington Hills, died Oct. 9,
2005. A phar-
macist, Mr.
Randel owned
two drug
stores called
Vermont
Drugs until
the Detroit
riots and then
Randel
moved to the
single location in Taylor in
1967. He was in the last class of
Wayne University before it
became Wayne State. He was a
supporter of Disabled American
Veterans, the Holocaust Centers
in West Bloomfield and
Washington, the Simon
Wiesenthal Center and the
American Red Magen David for
Israel.
Mr. Randel is survived by his
wife, Carol Randel of
Farmington Hills; sons and
daughters-in-law, David Randel
of Novi, Paul Randel and
Deborah Lapin of Farmington
Hills, Michael and Danielle
Randel of Commerce Township;
daughter-in-law, Dr. Jaclyn
