also a life master in bridge.
Mrs. Kaplan is survived by a

CATHY G. KEEDY, 52, former-
ly of Oak Park of Traverse City,
died Oct. 3, 2005. She graduat-
ed from West Bloomfield High
School in 1971 and attended
Michigan State University. Mrs.
Keedy worked for Great Lakes
Bancorp for 15 years as a
branch manager in Jackson and
for branches in Ann Arbor and
Traverse City.
After retiring, she devoted
many hours of volunteer work
for a number of local organiza-
tions, most recently Michigan
Indian Legal Services in
Traverse City, full-time for the
last two years. In the past she
volunteered for the Cherryland
Humane Society, the Volunteer
Services Office of the Grand
Traverse County Probate Court
and Cedar Wildlife Rescue. She
gave hours to rescuing and car-
ing for animals in need and to
loving her own dogs and cats.
Her gift of giving will continue
through others thanks to her
gift of organ donation through
the Gift of Life Program.
Mrs. Keedy is survived by her
loving and devoted husband,
Jim; stepmother, Patricia
Garrick of Highland; sisters and

brothers-in-law, Cheryl Coash of
Pottstown, Pa., Lisa and Ron
Juopperi of Waterford; brothers
and sister-in-law, Ronald and
Ellen Garrick of West
