Jacob Landau Gardner became a
bar mitzvah at Congregation Chaye
Olam Saturday, April 9. His parents
are Leslye Landau and Glendon
Gardner and his grandparents are
Margot and
Herbert Gardner
and Sandra and
Milton Landau.
He has a sister,
Erica.
Jacob goes to
Berkshire Middle
School in Beverly
Hills. His mitzvah
project is building
birdhouses and maintaining bird
feeders that will be donated and dis-
tributed to various locations in this
area. He also has volunteered his
expertise in conducting Rouge River
bug surveys to determine the health
of that waterway and worked the
Penny Harvest this year.

Mallory Sarah Kestenberg will be
called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah
on Saturday, April 16 at Temple
Israel. Celebrating with her will be
her parents, Ellen and Bill
Kestenberg, her
brother Joel and
sister Rachel. She
will also share this
joyous occasion
with her grandpar-
ents Lois and
Leonard Posner
and Shoshana
Kestenberg. She is
also the grand-
child of the late Henry Kestenberg.
Mallory, an honor student,
attends West Hills Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. As part of her
mitzvah projects, she donated to the
Humane Society and the World
Wildlife Federation and helped pre-
pare and deliver meals at Yad Ezra
in Berkley.

Aaron Scott Klisman will celebrate
his bar mitzvah on Saturday, April
16, at Adat Shalom Synagogue. He
is the son of Anne and Mark
Klisman and the brother of Rachel
Klisman. He is the grandson of
Bernard and Sophie Klisman and
the late Isadore
and Essie
Rosenbloom.
Aaron is an
honor student at
Warner Middle
School in
Farmington Hills.
His mitzvah proj-
ects included vol-
unteering at Yad
Ezra in Berkley and at the Special
Olympics at the Jewish Community
Center.

Sheryl and Gregg Nathanson and
sister of Andrew and Zoe, will cele-
brate her bat mitzvah on Saturday,
April 16, at Congregation B'nai
Moshe. Her proud
and excited grand-
parents are Karen
and Jack Singer
and Corinne and
Bernard
Nathanson.
Sara is an honor

building sukkot and planting flow-
