Jake 'William Gordon, son of Debra
and Dr. James Gordon, will read from
the Torah during Havdalah services at
Temple Israel Saturday, Nov. 27. He
is the brother of
Alexandra, Max
and Sam. His
grandparents are
Phyllis and Edwin
Bean and Rhea
Gordon. He is also
the grandson of the
late Norman
Gordon.
For part of his mitzvah projects,
Jake, who is an honor student at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills, chose to deliver meals to the
homebound during the holidays in
addition to volunteering at a summer
day camp.

Alexander Matthew Greene will cele-
brate his bar mitzvah as he reads from
the Torah Friday, Nov. 26, at Temple
Israel. He is the son of Daryl and
Kenneth Greene and the brother of
Kara and Hannah. His grandparents
are Phyllis Conn and Myra and Ray
Greene. He is also the grandchild of
the late Albert
Conn.
An honor stu-
dent at Walnut
Creek Middle
School in Walled
Lake, Alexander
held a bake sale
and donated the
proceeds to JARC
and Ronald
McDonald House. He also assisted at
Temple Israel's library.
