The Lifelong Learning program of the
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit's Alliance for Jewish Education
will offer a new advanced beginning
lunch and learn conversational Hebrew
class for those who have basic knowl-
edge in the Hebrew language.
The class, taught by Nira Lev,
Hebrew language specialist of the AJE,
will meet weekly 12:15-1:15 p.m.
Thursdays, beginning Oct. 21, at the
Max M. Fisher Federation Building,
Bloomfield Township.
Students interested in other levels of
conversational Hebrew can still join
one of the classes in progress. The cost
of the course includes all materials. To

Forum Theme: U.S. Aid

PNAI (Parents of North American
Israelis) will host Dr. Wilbert Simkovitz
1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Max
M. Fisher Federation Building,
Bloomfield Township. His topic will be
"What does the United States receive
for aid given to Israel?"
Dr. Simkovitz is a Clawson-based
practicing attorney, a licensed engineer
and author of a NATO agreement as a
U.S. official. He was the first American
to work inside the Israel Defense Forces
headquarters.
The meeting is open to the commu-
nity at no charge. Refreshments will be
