At this year's Balfour Concert, the
Zionist Organization of America will
bestow its highest honor, the Justice
Louis D. Brandeis Award, to Dr. Leora
Bar-Levav and Dr. Gary Edelson.
The doctors have distinguished them-
selves as civic and community leaders,
philanthropists and avid supporters of
Jewish education and Israeli institutions.
They are involved members of Congre-
gation Shaarey Zedek and the ZOA.
Dr. Edelson, an endocrinologist, is on
the staff of Wayne State University and
Beaumont Hospital and is chief of

Dr. Bar-Levav is a psychiatrist in private
practice. She also is a faculty member of
the Bar-Levav Educational Association
and an active member and lecturer at
both the Michigan and the American
Group Psychotherapy Associations.
Co-chairs of the Balfour Concert
Committee are Joseph Savin, president
of the ZOA Michigan Region, and

Forbidden Broadway, an informal and
hilarious overview of the American

cert are available for $50, $75 and $100.
