Temple Beth El religious school. For
the past three summers, she also vol-
unteered in the Temple Beth El sum-
mer camp and worked with preschool
children.

Michelle Ilana Lapin will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah Saturday,
Sept. 4, at Temple Emanu-El. She is
the daughter of Glenn and Natalie
Lapin, younger sister of Andrews and
granddaughter of Geraldine Finegold.
She is also the
granddaughter of
the late Morris
and Doris Lapin
and the late Louis
Finegold.
Michelle is an
eighth-grade
honor student at
Norup Middle
School in Oak
Park. For her mitzvah projects, she
volunteered at Temple Emanu-El, at
Yad Ezra in Berkley and at the
Huntington Woods recreation depart-
ment's leader-in-training program. In
addition, she worked at Marshall
Middle School in Westland with chil-
dren who are physically disabled.

Daniel Eric Leeb will read from the
Torah as he celebrates his bar mitzvah
at Temple Israel Saturday, Sept. 4. His
parents are Rosemary and Gregg Leeb
and his sisters are Beth and Stephanie.
He is the grandson of Lucille and Ben
Leeb. He is also
the grandchild of
the late Genevieve
and Julian Wolak.
Daniel attends
East Middle
School in
Farmington Hills,
where he is an
honor student. As
part of his mitz-
vah projects, he helped senior citizens
at St. Patrick's Soup Kitchen, prepar-
ing meals and visiting with them.

Jarret Marc Levine will celebrate his
bar mitzvah, Friday, Sept. 3 at Temple
Israel. He is the son of Annise and
Jeffery Levine and
the brother of
Ashley and Jillian.
His grandparents
are Sandra and
Louis Levine and
Fred Swartz. He is
also the grandson
of the late Edythe
Swartz.
