DR. ALBERT "ABBY" KAPLAN,
88, former Detroiter of Boca Raton,
Fla., died June 7, 2004.
He was born and raised in
Windsor, graduated from University
of Detroit Dental School in 1939
and practiced dentistry until his
retirement in 1982.
Dr. Kaplan served in the armed
forces in India during the China-
Burma-India campaign and earned
several ribbons, among them the
Bronze Star and a Victory Medal.
He and his wife Doris were active
members of Congregation Beth Ami.
Dr. Kaplan is survived by his wife,
Doris Pinsky-Kaplan; daughter and
son-in-law, Dianna and Richard
Fine; son, Dr. David Joseph Kaplan;
grandchildren, Marci Fine, Jason
Fine, Anthony Allen Kaplan-
Applebaum. He was the husband of
the late Leah Sarah Becker.
Interment at Eternal Light
Memorial Gardens in Boynton
Beach, Fla. Contributions may be

ROBERT JEAN KATZ, 50, of West
Bloomfield, died June 12, 2004.
He was an attorney, a member of
the Birmingham Temple, a member
of the Michigan and Pennsylvania
Bar Association and was active with
the Boy Scouts.

Hollis M. Harriman; son, Louis

SYLVIA LINDERMAN, 79, of
Rochester Hills, died June 14, 2004.
She is survived by her daughters,
Janice Linderman Katz of Auburn
Hills, Nancy Cunningham of Oak
Park; sister, Rose Bennett of
Southfield. She was the beloved wife
of the late Jerome Linderman.

of Pleasant Ridge died June 9, 2004.
She was a charter member and a past
president of the Midstates Ceramic
Circle and the Michigan Oriental
Society. She was also a 50-year mem-
ber of the Detroit Institute of Arts
Founders Society.
