DR. ALBERT "ABBY" KAPLAN, 88, former Detroiter of Boca Raton, Fla., died June 7, 2004. He was born and raised in Windsor, graduated from University of Detroit Dental School in 1939 and practiced dentistry until his retirement in 1982. Dr. Kaplan served in the armed forces in India during the China- Burma-India campaign and earned several ribbons, among them the Bronze Star and a Victory Medal. He and his wife Doris were active members of Congregation Beth Ami. Dr. Kaplan is survived by his wife, Doris Pinsky-Kaplan; daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Richard Fine; son, Dr. David Joseph Kaplan; grandchildren, Marci Fine, Jason Fine, Anthony Allen Kaplan- Applebaum.
