RUTH POMERANTZ, 87, of
Farmington Hills, died May 8, 2004.
She is survived by her beloved hus-
band, Harry Pomerantz; son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Sanford and
Francine Pomerantz of Topeka, Kan.;
daughters, Carole Pomerantz of
Westminster, Calif. and Linda
Pomerantz of Los Angeles; grandchil-
dren, Jennifer Pomerantz, Joanna
Pomerantz, Katherine Pomerantz, Aric
(Vanessa) Caley and Dallas Caley;
great-granddaughter, Maja.
A memorial service was held at
Dorfman Chapel. Contributions may

MAX RUBIN, 81, of West
Bloomfield, died May 4, 2004. He was
the founder and president of Maxi
Container. In the early 1950s until
1980, he was the owner and founder
of National Drum and Barrell, which
Detroit bought for the Poletown Plant.
Mr. Rubin was a member of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek, active in
the Reuseable Industrial Packaging
Association and was honored with the
Morris Hershon Award of Merit for
RIPA.
He is survived by his daughters, Lauri
Lowen of Washington, Carol Rubin of
West Bloomfield; son and daughter-in-
law, Richard Rubin and Gail Bennett of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren, David
and Tracy Lowen, Daniel Lowen, Lisa
Melinn, Adam and Jennifer Melinn,
Joshua Rubin, Michelle Rubin; sister,
Ann Miller. He was the beloved hus-
band of the late Alene Ruth Rubin.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.

AARON SALZBERG, 84, of West
Bloomfield, died May 5, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Jane
Salzberg; daughter and son-in-law,
Frances and Dr. Gilbert Herman of
West Bloomfield.

what children see is often less frightening than
what they imagine. I find it best to discuss the
entire process from death to burial prior to the
funeral. Knowing what to expect usually allows
them to participate throughout.

bakery sales consultant in Florida.
Ms. Simons is survived by her son

She was the dear sister-in-law of the late
Jack Warheit and the late Sam Sandler.
