NOMI LION, 82, of West Bloomfield,
died Jan. 16, 2004.
She is survived by her daughters and
son-in-law, Nira and Robert Slutsky of
West Bloomfield, Ruth Lion of Highland
Park, Ill.; grandchildren, Lisa Slutsky,
Lauren and Jeremy Belchinsky Slutsky,
Nathan Finch, Susan Finch; great-grand-
child, Ari Belchinsky. She was the beloved
wife of the late Walter Lion.

ROSE MEADOW, 97, of Southfield,
died Jan. 20, 2004. She was an avid
bridge player.
Mrs. Meadow is survived by a son
and daughter-in-law, Joel and Carol Sue
Barkoff; a daughter and son-in-law,
Miriam and Harold Summers of Oak
Park; six grandchildren; 15 great-grand-
children.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.

RUTH DOROTHY PELTIN, 89, of
West Bloomfield, died Jan. 16, 2004.
Mrs. Peltin was a pharmacy assistant.
She is survived by a
daughter and son-in-
law, Rita and Norman
Grossberg of West
Bloomfield; grandchil-
dren, Jeffrey and Mary
Grossberg, Julie and
Andrew Glasser; great-
grandchildren, Joseph
Peltin
and Jonathan
Grossberg, Danielle and
Elise Glaser. She was the beloved wife of
the late Benjamin Peltin; dear sister of
the late Sidney Kraus.

DONALD M. ROBINER, 68, former
Detroiter of Beachwood, Ohio, died
Jan. 12, 2004. He received his bachelor
of arts degree from University of
Michigan, did post-gradate work at
Wayne State University and earned his
juris doctor degree from Case Western
Reserve University.
Mr. Robiner was associated with and
eventually became a partner and then
vice president of Metzenbaum, Gaines,
Krupansky, Finley and Stern LPA in
Cleveland. Later, he was an executive
vice president with Schwarzwald,
Robiner and Rock and then a principal
with Buckingham, Doolittle and
Burroughs, also in Cleveland.
Among, his affiliations, Mr. Robiner
was a member of the Board of Bar
Examiners for the State of Ohio, a life
member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial
Conference, a mediator of the dispute
resolution panel for the U.S. District
Court of Ohio, a secretary of the Friends
of Beachwood Library Inc. He was a
recipient of a certificate of appreciation
from the Ohio Supreme Court and from
the American Society of Appraisers.
Mr. Robiner is survived by his wife,
Phyllis Goodman Robiner of
Beachwood; children, Lawrence Robiner
of Boston, Steven Robiner of Los
Angeles, Golda and Ed Shapiro of
Detroit; stepsons, Brian Roberts of
Denver, Marc Roberts of Dallas. He was
the son of the late Max and Lucia
Robiner; brother of the late Laura
Robiner Baldwin.

Israel in Cleveland or the Hebrew
Immigrant Aid Society. Arrangements

WILLIAM ROSEN, 75, of Royal Oak,
died Jan. 17, 2004. He was a special
education teacher in the Detroit Public
Schools; he also taught driver's education
through the Detroit Public Schools and
privately. A Korean conflict veteran, he
was a sheet metal jour-
neyman before the war
and afterwards went
back to school and
received a bachelor's
degree from Eastern
Michigan University
and a master's in special
education from
Rosen
Marygrove College.
A past commander
of Jewish War Veterans' Charles Shapiro
Post, Mr. Rosen also taught Sunday
school at Temple Israel.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years,
Alice Rosen of Royal Oak; daughters
and sons-in-law, Diane and Morris King
of Monroe, Ga., Lesley and Jeffrey
Koski of Mohawk, Mich.; grandchil-
dren, Jeremy and Cathy King, Erin
"E.B." King, Jaime King, Evan Koski,
Alec Koski; great-grandchildren, Alexis
and Hannah King. He was the beloved
brother of the late Rachel Light, the late
Sarah Gordon and the late Betty Frey.

Road, Southfield, 48076. Interment
Adat Shalom Memorial Park.
