GEORGE WALDMAN, 93, of
Southfield, died Jan. 11, 2003. He
was a deli man, dating back to
Boesky's on 12th St. to the
Broadway Market to Brothers Deli
in Lansing to the Star Deli, from
which he retired. He then went on
to work at Budman's Home
Improvement, selling siding.
Mr. Waldman was a cartoonist,
who had several of his works pub-
lished over the years. He was offered
a job at Walt Disney Studios in the
Early 1940s; but family and friends
were more important, so he moved
his family back home to Michigan.
He is survived by his daughters
and son-in-law, Beverly and Hyman
Deal of Oak Park, Arlene
Weinberger of West Bloomfield; son
and daughter-in-law, Marshall and
Dana Waldman of Lake Oswego,
Ore.; sisters, Ann Marenberg of
Miami Beach, Fla., Bertha Greene of
Oak Park; grandchildren, Dr.
Leonard (Dr. Marie) Weinberger,
