The Sarah and Irving Pitt Child
Development Center is taking
enrollment for the 2002-2003
school year.
The Pitt CDC is located in
the Jewish Community Center
in West Bloomfield.
The nationally accredited
child development center has
infant-toddler preschool,
kindergarten and kindergarten
enrichment programs. New this
year is the enrichment center,
which has classes for children
age 2-second grade. Among the
classes are Kindermusik, com-
puters, science, cooking and
gross motor activities.
The 26,000-square-foot facili-
ty has two levels with class-
rooms, educational and play
spaces, art classrooms, toddler
gym, and science, cooking and
computer labs.
The CDC offers traditional
child care activities: age-appro-
priate physical education, values
education, story times, arts and
crafts, music and computer
classes and rest time.
Nutritional lunches and snacks
are kosher.
The child development center
has newly ren9vated facilities; a
separate, safe and secure
entrance; Judaic and secular cur-
riculum and three age-appropri-
ate playgrounds.
Tailored birthday parties are
available. Parents may choose a
themed party, create their own
theme or have gross motor area,
playground, cooking, computer,
science, music and music move-
ment parties.
Limited one-to-one support is
offered for children with special
needs.
Enrollment is on a first-come,
first-serve basis and open to all.
