LOLA SEIDERMAN, 78, of Oak Park,
died Jan. 31. She was a member of B'nai•
B'rith.
She is survived by her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Abraham and Simona
Seiderman of White Lake; daughters and
sons-in-law, Marie and Ron Levy of
Kansas, Sally and Doug Dovitz of West
Bloomfield; grandchildren, Rachel,
Sarah, Daniel Seiderman, Nicole and
Alisha Levy and Zack Dovitz. Mrs.
Seiderman was the beloved wife of the
late Jakob Seiderman.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to B'nai B'rith or the Jewish Federation
of metropolitan Detroit. Arrangements
by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

Shiva Trays

DR ALAN J. SORSCHER, 67, for-
merly of Flint of Rochester Hills, died
Jan. 31. He was a graduate of Flint
Northern High School, the University of
Michigan and Wayne State University
Medical School. He was also an alumnus
of the University of Chicago.
Dr. Sorscher served as a major in the
Air Force in the Vietnam War. He prac-
ticed medicine in Genesee and Oakland
counties for more than 40 years, holding
staff positions at Hurley Medical Center,
McLauren Regional Medical Center, St.
Joseph Hospital (GENYSIS) and Holy
Cross Hospital (St. John Northeast
Hospital. In addition, Dr. Sorscher was
an associate professor of medicine at
Michigan State University, a member of
the Alpha Omega Honor Society, served
as class agent for his graduating class for
the Wayne State Alumni Association and
was a member of Physicians for
Compassionate Care. He frequently
served as a volunteer for the Michigan
Opera Theater.
Dr. Sorscher is survived by his wife of
20 years, Linda; children, Dr. Michael
and Holly Sorscher of Ann Arbor, Dr.
Jonathan Sorscher of Cincinnati, Ohio,
Carly Shana Sorscher of New York City,
Daniel Sorscher of Rochester Hills,
Natalie Sara Sorscher of Rochester Hills;
five grandchildren; sisters and brothers-
in-law, Dorothy and Dr. Raymond Failer
of Bal Harbor, Fla., and Flint, Sally and
Dr. Richard Krugel of Birmingham,
