SORSCHER, 67, for- merly of Flint of Rochester Hills, died Jan. 31. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Medical School. He was also an alumnus of the University of Chicago. Dr. Sorscher served as a major in the Air Force in the Vietnam War. He prac- ticed medicine in Genesee and Oakland counties for more than 40 years, holding staff positions at Hurley Medical Center, McLauren Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital (GENYSIS) and Holy Cross Hospital (St. John Northeast Hospital. In addition, Dr. Sorscher was an associate professor of medicine at Michigan State University, a member of the Alpha Omega Honor Society, served as class agent for his graduating class for the Wayne State Alumni Association and was a member of Physicians for Compassionate Care. He frequently served as a volunteer for the Michigan Opera Theater.
