Foundation Board of Trustees, a
luncheon program

She is the author of Jewish and Female,
which looks at Jewish women's special
needs. A consultant on women's chari-
table giving and leadership roles and
on feminist social-change issues,
Schneider is affiliated with the U.S.-
Israel Women to Women, National
Network of Women in Philanthropy,
AJC Commission on Women's
Equality and New York UJA-
Federation's Task Force on the Jewish
Woman.

Family Volunteers
Are Honored

Jewish Family Service held its annual
Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
recently and cited four distinguished
volunteers of the year.
Susan Robin was named new vol-
unteer of the year. A volunteer for one
year, she assists with the JFS Intake
Office, helping clients find resources
in the community. She also assists
with the JFS/JAS Prescription
Program for Seniors and the JFS
Alliance for Adoption program.
The other volunteers of the year
include Frank Lazar, a school reading
tutor who also works in Prescription
Program for Seniors two days a week;
Leslye Golding, a child mentor for a
6-year-old girl; Adele Staller, who
assists with helping new Americans
pass their U.S. Naturalization inter-
views and Dorothy Hirshbein, a trans-
portation volunteer for more than 10
years.
