LILLIAN BELKIN, 94, of Oak Park,
died March 11.
She is survived by her sons and
daughter-in-law, Edward Belkin of
Oak Park, Dr. Maurice and Deborah
Belkin of Beverly Hills; son-in-law,
Jack Wolf; sister-in-law, Sarah
Millman; grandchildren, Elizabeth
Belkin, Amanda Belkin, Dr. Cary and
Sherry Wolf, Ellen and Dr. Jeff Gitt,
Brian and Risa Wolf; seven great-
grandchildren. Mrs. Belkin was the
beloved wife of the late Sam Belkin;
loving mother of the late Edith Wolf;
dear sister of the late Meyer Millman.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Interment at
Hebrew Memorial Park.

DR. STEPHEN BENDIX, 52, of
West Bloomfield, died March 11. Dr.
Bendix was a 1967
graduate of
Southfield High
School, a University
of Michigan under-
graduate and a
1975 graduate of
Wayne State
University of
Medical School. He
Dr. Stephen
was a member of
Bendix
the Michigan
Medical Society,
past president of the Michigan
Society of Addiction Medicine, med-
ical director of Insight-Recovery
Center, Oakland County Medical
Society, on staff at Beaumont
Hospital and formerly on staff at
Sinai.
For over 25 years, Dr. Bendix was
in private practice serving thousands
of patients, specializing in both inter-
nal medicine and chemical dependen-
cy. He was deeply committed to help-
ing those who struggled with sub-
stance abuse. Additionally, he was a
member of Temple Israel and
Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
He is survived by his loving wife,
Lauren, of 18 years and four chil-
dren, Brooke, Scott, Jason and
Matthew, his parents, Norman and
Lucille Bendix, his sisters and broth-
ers-in-law, Carol and Michael Allen
of Melville, New York, Judi
Thurswell-Miller and Joel Miller, his
mother and father-in-law, Lois and
Seymour Levine; brothers and sisters
in law, Robert and Michele Levine
and Doug and Ronna Levine.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

ETHEL CAPLAN, 96, of Bloomfield
Hills, died March 5. She was an ele-
mentary school teacher in Detroit.
She is survived by many loving
nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. Mrs. Caplan was the beloved
wife of the late Harry Caplan; dear
sister of the late Fannie Feerer, the late
Ben Shiffman, the late Abe Shiffman,
the late Victor Shiffman, the late
David Shiffman and the late Sylvia
Ruskin.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements
by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

SAMUEL (MICKEY) DAVIS, 93, of
Farmington Hills, died March 11.
He is survived by his nieces and
nephews, Gordon L. Hollander,
Harvey and Alisa Hollander, Bernice
and Edwin Barris, Ella and Jerry
Modell, Erwin and Carole Hollander.
Mr. Davis was the beloved husband of
the late Mollie Davis; loving brother
of the late Esther Hollander, the late
Ben Davis, the late Sally Schwartz.

interment at Shalom Memorial Park
in Palatine, Ill.

EMILEE FLEISCHER, 85, of
Southfield, died March 6. She was a
past president of Tikvah Lodge of
B'nai B'rith, member of Adat Shalom
Synagogue, its sisterhood and of
Women's American ORT. She was also
a life member of Hadassah, City of
Hope and B'nai B'rith.
Mrs. Fleischer is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-law, Rochelle
and Dr. Arthur Lieberman of
Bloomfield Hills, Marsha and Gerald
Blanke of New Jersey; son, Barry
Fleischer of Huntington Woods;
grandchildren, Lori and Sam Gray,
Julie and Jeffrey Morganroth, Marla
Lieberman, Stacy Lieberman and
fiance Jonathan Ritter, Carrie and
Jason Topolosky, David Blanke,
Michelle and Michael Boyle, Meredith
Fleischer; great-grandchildren, Natalie,
Rachel and Emma Gray, Jessica and
Jaclyn Morganroth and Jake
Topolosky; sisters and brothers-in-law,
Mamie and Irving Katanick of
Florida, May and William Cherish of
Florida; sister-in-law and brother-in-
law, Terry and Herman Troy. She was
the beloved wife of the late George
Fleischer; dear sister of the late Irving
Weisenthal and the late Louis
Weisenthal.
