A melding of klezmer music
was heard at Temple
Emanu-El in Oak Park on
Sept. 10. The Cleveland-
based Yiddishe Cup
Klezmer band entertained
with traditional and no-so-
traditional renditions of
klezmer tunes. Temple Beth
El's Kids Klez Band joined
in the fun, co-hosted by the
Jewish Community Center
in Oak Park. Top, Yiddishe
Cup's Irwin Weinberger
sings. Right, Allison
Birnkrant plays violin with the Kids Klez Band. Above,
Eugene Driker of Detroit with grandson Caleb Driker
Obren, 3, of Huntington Woods like what they hear.
