Sarah Kiperman and Rachel Matz, bat mitzvah students at Congregation Beth
Ahm, recently organized a Passover food drive as part of their mitzvah project.
Sarah, a seventh grader at Abbott Middle School in West Bloomfield, and
Rachel, a seventh-grader at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills, dis-
tributed flyers to Beth Am's religious and nursery schools requesting Passover
food donations, which were brought to Yad Ezra, the Oak Park kosher food
panty, to be distributed to needy Jewish families.
