LUBA IZRAELEWICZ, 78, of

Bloomfield Hills, died Jan. 13.
She is survived by her husband, Idel
Izraelewicz; son and daughter-in-law
Gary and Scharolette Izraelewicz of
Auburn Hills; daughters and sons-in-law
Bela and Benjamin Greenbaum of
Bloomfield Hills, Ham S. and Peter
Goldberg of Bloomfield Hills; brother
Simon Oshman of Russia; grandchil-
dren Judy, Ruthie, Yossi, Mollie, Heidi,
Rachel, David, Rebecca, Amy; 12 great-
grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to a

Beth El Memorial Park in Livonia.

JANE ICLEINROCK,

98, of Los Angeles,

Jane Kleinrock

died Dec. 31. Mrs.
Kleinrock was a regis-
tered nurse with special
psychiatric training
who earned her certifi-
cate of nursing from
the University of
Michigan and her

bachelor of arts degree from Mount St.
Mary's. In 1957, Mrs. Kleinrock orga-
nized and ran the first medical clinic on
Los Angeles' Skid Row and was known
as the 'Angel of Skid Row" for saving
the lives of countless alcoholics.
As a premier volunteer fund raiser for
the City of Hope, Mrs. Kleinrock raised
over one million dollars in a 12-month
period and was known as their "fence"
because of her unique ability of seeking
and reselling donated items. She was
also a Red Cross volunteer for 20 years,
serving as director of nursing services of
the Whittler Chapter during World War
II and teaching home nursing classes in
Beverly Hills Schools and at Black Foxe
Military Institute. Mrs. Kleinrock has
been honored with many awards of
appreciation including a commendation
from the mayor of Los Angeles, Richard
Riordan, in 1998; a commendation
from the Los Angeles City Council in
1995 and she was named Woman of the
Year several times by the City of Hope.
She was an enthusiastic member of the
Volunteers in Psychiatry and the Mental
Health Foundation and a member of
the Volunteers of America. Along with
her volunteer work, Mrs. Kleinrock also
found time to enjoy singing, dancing
and storytelling.
She is survived by her brother,
Maynard Feldman of Farmington Hills;
sister Annabelle Kaplan of Los Angeles;
nieces and nephews Jean Kaplan Green
and Kenneth Green, Bobbi Kaplan, Lisa
Braun Glazer, Wendy Braun, Sheryl
Feldman, Susan Feldman Rollinger and
Bob Rollinger, Ruthie and Percy Braun,
Barry Marc and Barbara Feldman, Bill
and Brenda Kaplan; great-nieces and
great-nephews. Mrs. Kleinrock was the
beloved wife of the late Saul Kleinrock;
the loving daughter of the late Sarah
and Sam Feldman; the devoted sister of
the late Mina Kaplan; dear sister-in-law
of the late Leon Kaplan, the late Sol
Kaplan and the late Betty Feldman.
Interment at Hillside Memorial Park
in Los Angeles. Contributions may be
directed to the City of Hope in Los
Angeles, Calif, or the Volunteers of
America in Los Angeles. This announce-
ment was placed at the request of the
family by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

FRITZIE KOHN, 89, of Southfield,
died Jan. 14.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Alan and Phyllis Kohn
of Farmington Hills; brothers and sis-
ters-in-law Richard and Charlotte
Danto of Coral Springs, Fla., Charles
and Barbara Danto of Florida; sister and
brother-in-law Betty Ann and Benjamin
Faber of Los Altos, Calif; grandchildren
