SIDNEY COHEN, 88, of West

Bloomfield, died Jan. 8. Mr. Cohen was
an auditor for the Michigan Employment
Securities Commission and Grant and
Silverman Accounting Firm. He was a
World War II army infantry veteran and a
POW for 10 months in Germany. He was
also a life member of Temple Beth El, past
treasurer of the brotherhood and a past
treasurer of the Beth Elders.
Mr. Cohen is survived by his son, Allan
Cohen of Florida; daughters and sons-in-
law Linda and John Schoen of Alabama,
Judy and Peter Evans of Waterford; grand-
children Alanna, Diane and Darren
Schoen, Derek and Richard Evans; sister
Sarah Fridenberg of West Bloomfield; sis-
ter-in-law Jeannette Cohen of West .
Bloomfield. He was the beloved husband
of the late Lois Cohen and the dear broth-
er of the late Hyman Cohen, the late
Herman Cohen, the late Joseph Cohen
and the late Louis Cohen.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
Contributions may be directed to the

LEROY DUNN, 81, of Southfield, died
Jan. 8. Mr. Dunn was a nursing home
executive and a member of B'nai B'rith
and the Jewish War Veterans.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years,
Sonia Dunn; daughters and sons-in-law
Judy and Jeffrey Graff of Illinois, Sheila
and Stephen Merritt of Washington; son
and daughter-in-law Charles and Lisa
Dunn of Franklin; grandchildren Renee,
Sandy and Jon Graff; brother David
Dunn of Nebraska.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be directed

SHERMAN M. FISHER, 85, of

Southfield, died Jan. 4. Mr. Fisher was an
automotive tool and die maker. He was a
member of B'nai B'rith Pisgah Lodge, a
life member of Perfection Mosaic Lodge F
& AM and a life member of
Congregation Beth Ahm.
Mr. Fisher is survived by his sons,
Philip N. Fisher of Detroit, Marshall F.
Fisher of Detroit; grandchildren Marla,
Michael, Neal, Matthew and Steven
Fisher, Karen and Jose Otera; sisters and
brother-in-law, Esther Fisher of Detroit,
Beatrice and Charles Zalev of Windsor.
He was the beloved husband of the late
Helen Fisher.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

MARIAN GARELICK, 76, of West

Bloomfield, died Jan. 5. She was a past
president of B'nai B'rith and an avid
bridge player.
Mrs. Garelick is survived by her hus-
band, Sidney Garelick; son and daughter-
in-law Douglas and Kathy Garelick of
California; daughter and son-in-law Janice
and Dr. Robert Goldfarb of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren Evan and Alex
Goldfarb, Jeffrey and Lori Garelick,
Lauren, Alissa and Hayden Garelick;
great-grandson David; brother and sister-
in-law Donald and Gloria Goodman. She
was the loving mother of the late Dr.
Richard Garelick and the late Cheryl
Garelick.

ALMA R. KALISH, 76, of Farmington

Hills, died Jan. 7. Mrs.
Kalish was the co-owner
of a party planning busi-
ness for many years.
She was also an early

Shalom and a longtime
Alma Kalish
hospital volunteer.
Mrs. Kalish is survived
by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jay
and Mimi Kalish of Farmington Hills,
Mark and Judy Kalish of Toledo,
Murray and Leslie Kalish of California;
grandchildren Benjamin, Samantha,
Jennifer, Alexander and Robert Kalish.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Lester Kalish and the dear sister of the
late Alvin Cohen.

Arthur Kellman and the late Ruth
