Lauren Samantha Waterstone will cele-
brate her bat mitzvah on Friday, May 7,
at Temple Israel. She is the daughter of
Carrie and Dr. Joel Waterstone, sister of
Jordyn and grandchild of Bette and
Sidney Feldsteen and Carol and Fred
Waterstone. Proud great-grandmother is
Ruth Brandman.
Attending Warner
Middle School in
Farmington Hills,
Lauren likes skiing,
the computer, kick
boxing, swimming,
playing the saxo-
phone and listening
to music. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project was visiting
homeless shelters and interacting with
the children.
Joshua David Zemon will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Friday,
May 7, at Temple Israel. He is the son
of Carol and Daniel Zemon, brother of
David and grandchild of Gertrude and
Dr. Seymour Lipsitt.
Mitzvah projects
included volunteering
at JARC homes and at
Yad Ezra. A student at
Birmingham
Covington School,
Joshua spends his
leisure time drawing
and designing com-
mercial buildings; he also enjoys reading
and writing short stories.
Jennifer Debra Bruni will celebrate her
bat mitzvah at havdala services on
Saturday, May 8, at Temple Israel. She is
the daughter of Sherry and Dr. Mark
Bruni, sister of Samantha and Alexander
and grandchild of Lillian and Louis
Lederman and John and JoAnne Bruni.
She is also the grand-
daughter of the late
Dorothy Bruni.
Attending Orchard
Lake Middle School
in West Bloomfield,
Jennifer enjoys playing
the piano, drawing,
dancing and acting.
Mitzvah projects
included entertaining at Fleischman
Residence, assisting at Temple Israel's
Labor Day picnic and planting trees in
Israel through the Jewish National Fund.
Rebecca Yael Molnar will be called to
the Torah at Temple Kol Ami on
Saturday, May 8. She is the daughter of
George and Shelly
and sister of Sam. Her
proud grandparents
are Paul and Priscilla
Molnar and Joanne
Robbins. She is also
the granddaughter of
the late Yale Lapping.
Becca attends
Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham and enjoys baseball, vol-
leyball, art and attending Camp
Tamarack in the summer.
Becca's mitzvah projects included
working at St. Leo's Soup Kitchen in
Detroit and helping at Temple Kol
Ami's homeless shelter. Her most
meaningful project was working with a
child through the Daniel Sobel
Friendship Circle.
Kyle Scott Heller of Farmington Hills
will be called to the Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday, May
8, at Temple Beth El.
Kyle is the son of
Sandy and Rick
Heller, the big brother
of Michelle and the
grandson of Trudy
Goodkin of
Philadelphia. He is
also the grandson of
the late Allen Goodkin and the late
Marjorie and Sherman Heller of New
York.
Kyle is a seventh-grade honor student
at Warner Middle School in Farmington
Hills. He particularly enjoys skateboard-
ing along with other sports. He plays
select soccer and travel baseball. He is a
member of this summer's Maccabi soc-
cer team.
Kyle has volunteered at the
Farmington Hills Library, Yad Ezra and
also helped prepare and serve meals at
COTS. With funds from his job as an
Observer carrier, he purchased holiday
gifts for a local children's charity. This
spring he made shalach manor baskets
for the Purim Parcel Project.
Adam Wallace will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Saturday, May 8, at
Congregation Shaarey
Zedek. Adam is the
son of Barbara and
David Wallace. Adam's
brother Richie and sis-
ter Katie also will par-
ticipate. Adam is the
